Before You Buy Pianoforall: 5 Things to Check (2026)

Pianoforall is a self-paced piano course that teaches chords and playing by ear first. Before you buy, these are the five points from my full review that matter most.

Where it landed in my review

3.9out of 5

It gets adult beginners playing chord-based songs early, with video and audio built into the lessons and a one-time purchase. The trade-off is lighter technique and sight-reading than a classical method, and no feedback on your playing.

5 things to check before you order

  1. It teaches by ear first, notation later. You start with chord shapes and rhythms and play songs early. Reading music comes in gradually, so classical sight-reading arrives later and with less structure than in a traditional method.
  2. Know your goal. It suits people who want to accompany songs, improvise and play pop, blues or jazz styles. It is a weaker fit for exams or classical repertoire.
  3. No one checks your hands. There is no feedback on your actual playing beyond email questions. If posture and technique matter to you, a few lessons with a teacher alongside it help.
  4. "Lifetime access" has a definition. The seller's terms define it as access for the life of the course while it is offered and supported. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
  5. Check your device and keyboard. It runs on PC, Mac, Android and iOS, offline once downloaded. A keyboard works; full-size weighted keys feel closer to a piano as you progress.

Consider a teacher instead if…

How the refund works

The seller's terms state a 60-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase, processed through ClickBank.

I report these terms as the seller published them. I don't sell this product and I'm not part of the transaction, so I can't process, approve or guarantee a refund. Confirm the current terms on the seller's page before ordering.

The bottom line

A strong, low-friction start for adults who want to play songs soon. Pair it with a teacher if technique or reading music is the real goal, and use the 60-day window to decide.
